Återvänder från popaganda – festivalen i Stockholm, och har fått mersmak på en hel del bra musik!

Jag åkte över dagen och till en början var det typiskt festivalväder på ngt sätt. Även om jag sällan är på festival så förknippar jag dessa med regnväder. Men solen tittade fram stora delar av dagen till allas förtjusning.

Vi lyssnade på Sibille Attar som sjöng riktigt bra, även Jens Lekman och Chloe Howl. Sista konserten för idag Håkan Hellström som såklart drog till sig mkt glad och energisk publik!

Jag var tvungen att dela med mig dessa fantastiska bilder som jag tagit på spelningarna,  särskilt den sista på Håkan. Vadå ser ni inte honom? 🙂

Oh, the singers voice

I don’t perform on a regular basis but still I sing at least a few times per week. Rehearsing songs and developing my guitar skills is something I do picking up the guitar every now and then. I also sing with my duo Edenroad every week.

So it’s always irritating to realise I’m losing my voice, temporarily of course but still! It takes some time to get the voice back in shape and the key is rest, rest, rest.

I also tried a tea called throat comfort, it’s not a miracle but definitely soothing.

// Att tappa rösten är definitivt inte en rolig historia även om jag inte spelar så ofta live så sjunger jag flera gånger i veckan. För att repetera egna låtar, lära mig nya och utveckla mitt gitarrkomp. Och sen repar jag med Edenroad en gång per vecka.

Så vila rösten och även dricka te som tex throat comfort eller honungsvatten! Det är det som gäller tills rösten kommer tillbaka.

Stories

One day reflecting over your heritage and the history of your ancestors can leave such an impact. The stories that were told that day have us a taste of the past. Just a love how this blog can make you see how.
Storytelling is a way to describe and pass forward our experience and this is often a source of inspiration to my music. Memories, dreams and thoughts weaved in with a melody that can describe a feeling.

In the pause between the main course and coffee there is space for much to be said. When hunger is satisfied, attention can move to finer things than a gurgling stomach.  This span of relaxation, when senses are laid-back, is the optimal time for stories to unravel.

When far-away family recently came over to meet their relatives in the Swedish motherland, stories flourished as faraway cousins from the two sides of the Atlantic got together around a long meal.

One side remembered the jars of quaint jello sent over by the American aunts, and the more interesting newspaper wrapping. A now seventy-year-old family member recollected how,  when visiting the relatives in America as a young man, he was asked to fetch some watermelon from the fridge and ended up staring into the guts of the cooler not knowing what he was supposed to look for.

Hm:s klädinsamling nu i hela Sverige

Hm har släppt ett pressmeddelande att deras klädinsamling gäller nu i alla butiker.

Ett roligt initiativ som innebär att du kan lämna in gamla kläder mot en rabatt i butiken. Det gäller även slitna kläder som inte kan lämnas för återanvändning. Ett syfte är att utvinna material ur de inlämnade kläderna för att användas i textil.

Launching the new website for sadnesstheory.com

So the new website for Sadness Theory is here! Mostly the same as before but on a blog platform instead of the embeded MySpace-code. I guess WordPress will not suddenly just delete everything like MySpace did (no, I don’t hold grudges!) for it will be a blog disaster chaos.

So what’s new? Well, you have the same content with about, media, music, gigs and gallery on the meny option. The difference is that the webpage is now responsive, so it enables you to surf on any kind of device you like. The blog platform will make the blogging easier!
