So how was my last gig at Kulturernas karneval? Don’t worry, it is definitely not my last gig.
It was wonderful.
I performed together with my husband, which was very successful and we also had some lovely audience in the Botanical garden. We actually had quite nice weather (so far no Spring/Summer at all).

On Saturday I performed at the festival of Culture, Kulturernas Karneval, in Uppsala. The weather was lovely and a lot of people were there.
I’m really happy with the help from the volunteers, the backstage area for the artists and the organic selection of bread and coffee for us. Also all the associations, artists and exhibitions are participating for free.
I performed some of my songs, two of them are very new. One of them is called “Dancer” and it’s about pursuing your dreams and believing in yourself. And also not to let other people get in your way, to stay true to yourself.
It was really heartwarming to hear that it was a good performance, this is so important when you are a unknown singer/songwriter with passion for the environment! So thank you lovely girl for letting me know that! ❤

Spelade bland annat låtarna “Dancer” som är en ny låt om att följa dina drömmar och inte förhindras av andra runt omkring. Spelade också “Lyckan i en ask“, en låt som är skriven på svenska om temat konsumtion och identitet. Att shoppa sig lycklig. Någon som känner igen detta?

The performance was in a town nearby Uppsala, Enköping. I’m really happy to have recorded lives performances it is fun to share and to watch! I can still remember the feeling I had on stage performing this song, the audience was so quite, the light of the scene was right in my eyes so I only could see their shadows … Just in the right mood for this song!

The inspiration to write music can come from the people around me as well as my one life and experiences.
When my sister took a break from her life and traveled I got very inspired so when I was about to see her again I wrote the song “Homecoming queen“. Ofcourse as always I weave reality together with poetry and imagination, so everything is not literal. One of the verses says:
“You’re the homecoming queen, you’re all made of dreams, a dream of leaving everything behind you.“

// Låten “Homecoming queen” är inspirerat av min syster, när hon gjorde en längre resa. Det som händer runt om, bland människor jag har omkring mig, kan vara en inspirationskälla till låtarna jag skriver. Inspirationskällan vävs ihop med poesiliknande texter och en del fantasi så låten i sig behöver inte spegla verkligheten exakt.
Jag spelade in låten en dag hemma i vardagsrummet och la upp på youtube. Bara så där!
Återvänder från popaganda – festivalen i Stockholm, och har fått mersmak på en hel del bra musik!
Jag åkte över dagen och till en början var det typiskt festivalväder på ngt sätt. Även om jag sällan är på festival så förknippar jag dessa med regnväder. Men solen tittade fram stora delar av dagen till allas förtjusning.
Vi lyssnade på Sibille Attar som sjöng riktigt bra, även Jens Lekman och Chloe Howl. Sista konserten för idag Håkan Hellström som såklart drog till sig mkt glad och energisk publik!
Jag var tvungen att dela med mig dessa fantastiska bilder som jag tagit på spelningarna, särskilt den sista på Håkan. Vadå ser ni inte honom? 🙂
