The crafting is inpecable and if you are not used to crafting it should be difficult but it is fun for inspiration. Checking out the photos of the link I can see that many crafts are made out of paint chips. Like this:

And many of the crafts need a lot paint chips. Whenever I go checking for colors I may take three chips and all different colors. Except if you actually sell paint and have to discard the paint chips of last season or you go to a shop and ask for their discarded paint shops you will have that amount. And I’m sorry if you just go to a paint shop and take a hundred chips it’s not upcycling for me it is just like taking any new material!
Well, for a crafty person there will always be fun things to do with old things. Remember Frida and her bags? Or Elin (Rutigt) and her knittings?

I have a lot of up-cycling tips for us non-crafty!
Make your own rags: An old bed sheet or an old t-shirt can be a rag after cutting it to smaller pieces. I normally use small rags instead of paper tissues when f.e I handle my shoes, apply paint or dry them off.
Small cleaning device: From an old toothbrush. Also good to apply shoe polish that is not creamy.
Mini facial towels: Cutting your old towels to smaller ones so you can use them for the face or hands. You need to be able to sew.
Keeping good parts of old things: Even though a shirt is too old maybe it has some nice buttons. Take them off before recycling your old clothes. The same for handbags. Parts of it can be good. Use them or take them to a thrift store so the crafty will find them.
Wrapping paper or boxes: They can be used again, or for example ribbons, present boxes etc.
Reuse envelopes: Do you receive envelopes from buying online? You can reuse them when you want to send something. Just write the adress on a paper and glue it on the envelope.

Om det inte är så att man själv har en butik eller känner någon så känns det inte som att man använder upp något gammalt om man går och tar hundra färgprover från en affär.
På bloggen har jag skrivit om väskor gjorda av second hand fynd, eller virkat av second hand garn. Minns ni Frida och Elin från rutigt? Väskan jag har på bilden ovan har Frida gjort av gamla scarfs, väskor och gardintyg. Coolt va?
Mina jag-är-inte-sååå-pysslig tips för det vardagliga upcycling alla kan göra:
Gör egna trasor: Av gamla lakan, en gammal t-shirt. Klipp bara i mindre bitar. Använder trasor i stället för hushållspapper när jag kan, tex när jag fixar med skorna för att torka bort gammal färg etc.
Städmanick: Ja, en gammal tandborste blir bra att skrubba med och det går att använda för att applicera hård skofärg.
Spara de goda delarna: Av gamla kläder eller handväskor. Beslag, knappar, skärp. Om du inte själv vill pyssla vidare ge dem till en second hand butik och låt de pyssliga hitta dem.
Små ansiktslappar: Gör dem av gamla handdukar, åtminstone de bästa delarna av dem. Du behöver kunna sy en söm runt om.
Använd gamla kuvert: Från att du får hem något från nätet tex så kan du bara använda ett papper som du skriver adressen på och klistrar den på kuvertet.
Presentaskar mm: Presentpåsar och presentaskar som du får eller snören mm kan du återanvända när du själv ger en present.
